Editorial Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026. This page explains how we research, write, and maintain the calculators and articles on AssetCalculus.

Our Goal

We build free calculators and plain-English explainers so everyday investors can work with clear numbers instead of guesswork. Every calculator states the formula and assumptions behind it directly on its page, so you can see exactly how a result was reached rather than treating it as a black box.

No Sponsored Content

We don’t accept payment to recommend a specific stock, ETF, broker, or financial product, and we don’t publish sponsored posts disguised as independent articles. If that ever changes for a specific piece of content, we’ll label it clearly.

How We Write and Check Our Content

Calculator formulas are built and tested against known examples before publishing, and each calculator’s page documents the assumptions it makes (like constant annual returns or monthly compounding) so you can judge whether it fits your situation. Articles are written to explain concepts in plain language, and we link to a calculator directly where it helps illustrate the math.

Corrections

If you spot an error in a calculator’s math or an article’s explanation, we want to know. We correct mistakes as soon as we can verify them and, for significant corrections, note the update date on the affected page.

Not Financial Advice

Our content is educational, not personalized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. See our Disclaimer for details.
